[MR] Dogs at events

While I believe vaccinations are the right thing to do, and when I
used to bring my dogs to events I always had copies of their shots
record with our belongings, I think there is perhaps a larger issue to
be discussed.

While many people bring dogs to events (and I think that's great!),
they're not always so good about taking care of their creatures and
the fact that what their dogs leave behind can be a health hazard for
others, not to mention odiferous and unsightly.

I can't list the number of times at events I've had to be careful
where I step in the middle of a walking a path that is trod by people
without shoes, etc., knowing that a dog has been there before me (and
you know what I mean, I'm trying to be delicate).

Area policing after your pet helps to make them a good "SCA citizen"
and they're more likely to be invited to other events.

A little looking out for your pet (and other event goers) makes for a
more pleasant event for everyone.
