Please note that Merchants have a chance to Sell to
the PUBLIC at this event, in addition to the SCA!

Herbst Angemessen Nov 17-19, Weeping Radish Farm
Brewery, Grandy, NC

We have changed a few things concerning Merchants at
this event. Please disregard the message sent out
earlier and refer to this message instead.

We changed the location slightly (due to a cornfield
in the location we had orignally planned for the
merchants) and the space inside the building is even
more limited than what was planned before. There is no
room for merchants inside the building on the ground
floor. Space in the upper floor will be available only
if the A&S display and competitions don't use up all
of it.

NOTE: Due to site restrictions, Food merchants will
not be allowed at this event. The site has a sandwich
shop called The Coffee Barn featuring a variety of
items and the owner will be providing food for sale in
a big tent in the merchant area.

Merchants at Herbst Angemessen

November 17-19

Grandy, NC

At the Weeping Radish Brewery

Merchant fee is one donated item worth at least $10.00
(items to be used for prizes and drawing fundraiser
for the Baronial Event Front fund to help offset
expenses for Kingdom Arts and Sciences Festival in
March).

They will have a prime location - right up front along
the road in a fenced area and next to the rapier
fighting field. Everyone arriving and watching the
fencing will have to pass through or around the
merchant area.

A limited amount of space is available inside the
building for merchants. The first to sign up for it
will be the first to get it. This area is extremely
limited and will not be in the “flow” of traffic,
except for those that go up to see the A&S Display.

Merchants should bring their own tables and chairs,
etc. for display. Outside merchants may want to bring
a day shade or tent as well. They may bring kerosene
or propane heaters as desired to help them keep warm
(for outside only - the building is heated).

No tents with stakes may be placed around the rapier
field from the Weeping Radish Farm Brewery sign
towards the driveway entrance because that is the
drain field. Pop-up tents that do not require stakes
will be allowed along the fence on the parking lot
side.

The entire merchant and rapier area is enclosed with a
fence that also runs between them and the ditch and
road, and the area is highly visible to cars passing
by.

Camping available onsite. See Hotel listing for
nearby hotels.

Merchants will be able to sell to the public, so they
should do pretty well - and they might want to gear
their items more towards the general public than to
SCA members. They will not have to close up shop for
court or feast and may remain open as late into the
evening as they choose. Bring your own lighting
source.

Contact Brandwyn Alston at BrandwynAlston at gmail.com
for more information about merchants.

Reserve a merchant space with Cordelia at
curtnmissy at cox.net so we know how much space we need
for the Merchant area. Indoor spaces do not come with
tables or chairs either.
