Are you a Herald or Scribe? Do you want to be? Do
you have a passing interest in Heraldic or Scribal
Arts?
If so, this weekend is the Kingdom Heralds and Scribes
Symposium!
Please join us for an all day extravaganza of classes
and workshops to satisfy heralds and scribes of every
level of experience! Bring your pens and paper, books
and tabards and share in the wealth of knowledge that
the Kingdom of Atlantia has to offer!
Arts & Sciences Activities: Heraldic and Scribal
classes will be held all day. There will be an area
for heralds and scribes to display their arts. Part of
the Main Hall will be available for work space
throughout the day.
Cost: While no entrance fee is charged, a donation to
defray cost is appreciated.
Site: St. Philip's Church, 403 East Main Street,
Durham, NC 27701
Site Restrictions: No weapons, no alcohol, no food or
drink other than water except in the Main Hall.
Feast: There will be a lunch offered for $4 on site.
Merchants: There will be a merchant on site selling
Scribal equipment.
Other Information: There are no children's activities
planned for this event. Questions about accommodations

There is a room block set up at the 2-star Glenwood
Crabtree Inn (about 25-30 minutes from site) for
Saturday night. The hotel is located at 6619 Glenwood
Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612. For reservations call
919-782-8650 and ask for the Society Room Block
($47.00 plus taxes/night).

>From the North (I-85):
Take Exit 177A (Roxboro Road) toward downtown. Proceed
to the 5th traffic light and turn left on Chapel Hill
St. Chapel Hill St. becomes Liberty St. Go through
traffic light at Roxboro St. Take next right at Queen
St. The Church is one block ahead at the corner of
Queen St. and Main St. Parking on Sundays is available
in the parking lot across Queen Street from the
Church. Other days, parking is available in the lot
just east of the church on Main Street.
>From the Durham Freeway:
Exit toward Mangum St. and Roxboro Rd. Continue until
you reach intersection with Roxboro Rd. Turn north
toward downtown on Roxboro Rd. After you pass under a
railroad overpass, turn right at the next traffic
light, which is Main Street. The Church is one block
ahead at the corner of Queen St. and Main St. Parking
on Sundays is available in the parking lot on the left
just before you get to the church. Other days, parking
is available in the lot just past the church on the
left.
