My busy nights have caused me to miss a lot of these debates. But as a
Holder of a "Plain Jane" GoA, just call me Owain, Owain ap Tegwared if you
like.
I have no other kingdom titles and only a Sable Mountain from Hidden
Mountain which I played with on an off (sub sailor) when it was a Shire and
an Order of the Marlin from Marinus, where I now reside.

But if one desire grand titles "Your Grace" sounds wonderful! As pointed
out no distinguishing between Baron(ess), Viscount(ess), Earl/Count(ess).
You hear no squabbling from those about being set apart, so why should we?

I'm sure Mistress Alisoun will vouchsafe for myself, that I'm no title
seeker, though I do not go out of my way to avoid them. I only seek to
enjoy the Society as it is and what pleasure it gives me and others in
return.

Yours in Service,

Owain ap Tegwared

And the discussion goes full circle, as you see:

> FYI, the Middle Kingdom's roughly equivalent of Atlantia's Order of
> the White Scarf, the Company of the Bronze Ring, uses the title Warder.

> Per their kingdom law:

> precedence as Companion of the Bronze Ring. Those holders of the
> Order may be styled and announced as Warders of the Bronze Ring.

This is actually how the Midrealm has kinda solved the title issue for
GoA holders.

I'm not sure exactly how many of their awards they have done this for,
but they have made separate official titles for holders of various awards.

So the ones I know:
Order of the Red Company: Sergeant
Order of the Greenwood Company: Forester
The Company of the Bronze Ring: Warder
Order of the Gold Mace: Captain

I know at least on the archery range at Pennsic, you hear people being
referred to as 'Forester X' and 'Forester Y' regularly. Since the
Greenwood Company is their Archery GoA award.
