Sacred Stone's Baronial  Birthday Celebration is just around the corner. War 
is only two weeks away . . .  and the Baronial Birthday is only two weeks 
after War! Reserve NOW!! Feel free  to pass this announcement on to others who 
might welcome the  info. 
Feast is only $5 a person .  . . FIVE DOLLARS A PERSON!!!! and is open to as 
many folks as pre-register  BUT, due to the nature of the site, Feast is 
pre-reg only! We can get about 80  folks under the Shelter . . . everyone else is 
welcome to gather close or take  feast back to your own shelter. Tal and 
Brianna are cooking so you know it’s  going to be good! 
Baron Marc d'Aubigny and  Baronne Alianor atte Red Swanne invite you to come 
help celebrate their first  birthday on the seats of state in Sacred Stone at 
the Elchenberg Castle (near  Boonville, NC) on September 8-10, 2006.  
Gate fee for those who  pre-register will be $5 per adult and $7 after the 
deadline or at the gate  . . . Daytrip. Camping. Same price. Kids 6-17 are $3. 
Babes in arms to 5-years  are guests of the Barony.

The event is all about  having fun! Come relax and  celebrate the founding of 
Sacred Stone. Come tell your war stories and laugh and  sing with friends. 
Come compete, fight, shoot  archery, fight, show your heraldry, bestow your 
favors, bring your art projects,  bring your brews, compete, visit, have fun, eat, 
visit.   
In the tradition of the  Manesse Codex, courtly love, high chivalry and acts 
of courage, valor and honor  will be lauded this day. Bring your favors to 
bestow and your pennons to  fly.

baronial champions. If you intend  to vie for the honor and duty of any of these 
positions, please contact them  beforehand at

Baronial Champions to be  chosen are Youth Fighter, Heavy Fighter, Rapier 
Fighter, Archer, Arts &  Science Champions both adult and youth, Bardic Champion, 
Baronial Brewer,  Baronial Scrivener and Baronial Baker.

Fighting - Baron Achbar ibn Ali is  MiC. Friday night TorchLight Torney, 
Saturday 3-man tourney limited to one  member of the chivalry each and Singles 
tourneys as  well. 
Rapier - Lord Raphael de la Rosa is the Rapier Marshal and will  conduct a 
round robin Tourney

Archery- Lord Christophe of Grey is  devising Archery competitions. Watch for 
more  details. 
Equestrian - There will be Cavalry tournaments following  the theme of the

Youth - Sir Axel of Tavastia is organizing Youth Combat. Watch for  more

Arts & Sciences Activities: Asszony Bessenyei Rozsa has  a great line up of
A&S competitions with one caveat, entrants must attend  the event. Anyone
can display and ask for input, but if you want to compete,  just like the 
archers
and the fighters, you must attend.

Camping is free.  

Site: Elchenburg Castle/Triplette Farm, 2239 Center Road, Booneville,  NC
27011, Yadkin County The site is WET, with room for both period and  modern
tenting (There are no cabins on site but there are hot showers and  real
flushies as well as Portalets)  
Site opens at 5pm on Friday  and closes at 12pm on Sunday. Pets are allowed, 
on leash. If field space will be  needed, please email the autocrat with your 
information. Only period-looking  shelters will be allowed on the battle field 
edges.

Feast Information: Feast is only $5 and  will be prepared by Lady Brianna
and Lord Talorgan. Space will only be sold  in advance. There will be no 
seats for feast available at the door except for  cancellations which will go to 
those on a waiting list.   
If you would like to be  notified when your reservation has been received, 
please include your email  address and make note of your request with your 
reservations.

Merchanting  Information: Merchants are Welcomed with open arms. There is
no merchant fee  beyond the normal gate fee but please contact the Autocrat

Directions: From  the SOUTH or NORTH: Take your best route to I-77. Take Exit
82 and turn East  at the end of the exit ramp. Proceed less than a mile and
turn Right onto  Messick Rd. Proceed to the end of Messick Rd, and turn Left
onto Center Rd.  Approx 8 miles later is a Pure gas station on the left and 
1.2
miles past  that, is Mitchell Chapel United Methodist Church. The Castle
Lane (Willow  Springs Lane) is less then 2/10 of a mile further on the Right.
Signs will be  posted.

>From the EAST via Hwy 421: Travel to Exit 259 Reavis Rd. Turn  North onto
Reavis Rd. Travel .8 miles to stop sign. Turn Right. Travel .5  mile and
turn Left onto Center Rd. Travel 3 miles and turn Left onto Willow  Spring Ln.
