[MR] Call to Practice and Demo

Greeting Good Gentles,

Next Sunday July 23rd at 4:00pm the interest group attempting to form a new
canton in the eastern parts of Nottinghill Coill unofficially
calling themselves Brockshire Abbey will hold its next fighter
practice. We are in desperate need of marshals again to make this
happen. There is an expressed interest in heavy fighting, rapier,
and archery, and alas, without marshals, we can do none of these
things. The facility will accommodate all of these activities. For
archery, we need marshals and equipment. Being a fledgling group,
we have only the drive and desire, and lack the equipment. Any
assistance that can be provided would be most appreciated.
Directions are as follows:

Directions from Columbia: I-20 East to exit 116 (Hwy 15
Bishopville) Go 16 miles to Hwy 151. Turn Left. Go 4 miles on Hwy
151 past Carolina Pines Hospital. Church is 2 blocks past the
hospital on the right.

>From Florence: Best route to Hwy 52 to Hwy 151 past Darlington
Raceway. Stay on Hwy 151 (be careful. Around the race track is a
bit of a speed trap) about 12 miles. Past Carolina Pines Regional
Hospital. Church is 2 blocks past the hospital on the right.

Directions from Points South: I-95 North to Hwy 52 (Exit 164 or 169
I don't remember which). Follow directions from Florence.

Now, for the Call to Arms: We have been contact and asked to do a
demo the following weekend on Saturday July 29 from 9:00-11:00am by
the Cub Scouts. They are having a regional jamboree including 3 of
the counties that we are trying to include in our efforts to form
this new canton. The jamboree has a medieval theme. The estimate
is approximately 90 scouts, plus parents, and we are working on
having press coverage from all three counties at the event. We
could not have asked for a better chance to hold a demo that could
potentially bolster our ranks in the east. There are no
restrictions on what we can do (heavy, rapier, archery, thrown, etc.
and peace tied live steel is permitted) Anything you can do to help
us with our first demo would be greatly appreciated. The exposure
we will get from this will help make our living of The Dream a
reality.

The demo will be held at North Hartsville Elementary School located
at 110 School Drive Hartsville SC 29550 and directions are:

Follow directions above to Hartsville. Instead of turning on Hwy
151, stay on Hwy 15. Go through town on Hwy 15. Turn left on Ruby
Road (second left past the big lake). School on the left just after
you get on Ruby Road

Again this demo will be from 9:00-11:00am Saturday July 29 2006.
Come one come all and help us make our first demo a raving success.
