While I think the original poster might have posted a shorter missive and 
spelled out more directly how it effects the SCA (which she has later done) 
NAIS will also have a direct effect on SCA equestrian activities as the act 
applies its draconian measures to horses as well.  Every time your horse 
leaves the stable grounds for a trail ride, an SCA event, to go to another 
stable for practice/lessons, or any other reasons, reports (yes, more than 
one, assuming you return to the stable you left) will have to be filed.  IMO 
it's a crappy law that won't fix the problems it's supposedly aimed at, and 
will make life more difficult for the animal livestock hobbyist and 
recreational horse owner.
