[MR] Conflicts with Holiday Faire weekend

I would hope the people advocating boycotts and other general unpleasantness have considered these possibilities and verified they are not applicable before counseling the course of action copied below:

1) Maybe the people responsible for the Dun Carrig event are new to Atlantia and just didn't know about the "traditional" date for Holiday Faire.

2) Maybe the people responsible for the Dun Carrig event are simply new to running/scheduling events, and didn't realize the expected ettiquette to follow.

2) Maybe the people responsible for the Dun Carrig event just filled out the form for the event and checked the box for "no conflicting events" because it seemed like a reasonable thing to do. Have they since been asked to allow the Holiday Faire to conflict with their event and refused?

3) The groups aren't all that far apart. Maybe the essential parts of Holiday Faire that make it a unique event (whatever they are) could be incorporated into the Dun Carrig event. Has anyone asked that and been refused? Maybe it could be a jointly hosted event.

4) Maybe the folks in Dun Carrig, faced with a crowded kingdom calendar chock full of "traditional" events by older groups, simply got tired of trying to find a date that didn't conflict with someone, and simply figured "It's only fair, it's our turn this time."

5) Maybe Stierbach is just plain tired of doing the same event and wanted a break to try something new. I'm guessing that's not the case this time, but it might apply in similar situations.

It's usually best to assume ignorance rather than malice, and act accordingly.
