Greetings fair Atlantians, and particularly the Chatelaines and Castellans
among you!
If you are a Chatelaine or Castellan (or you aspire to be), it has hopefully
not escaped your attention that we are requiring folks who hold this office
to take "How to Be an Effective Chatelaine 101" to keep their warrant
current.
Because the October University is cancelled, and many people's ability to
travel is limited by gas prices, I want to avail myself of the opportunity
presented by the southerly location of Coronation to offer Chatelaine 101 at
Coronation. The class will take place at 3:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon, at
the back of the Recreation Hall. The class will last approximately 1 hour.
I would encourage those currently serving as Chatelaines and Castellans to
attend if they are able. We will be trying to offer the course at least one
other time this quarter, and hopefully at the February and June Universities
as well. My goal is to have a number of opportunities in various
geographical locations, so don't despair if this opportunity is not
convenient. There will be others.
I know that there are many long-serving Chatelaines and Castellans who have
taken this class before, and who have asked about exemptions. Because there
are several new policies that have come down from the Society level in
recent months that I want to make sure everyone is current on, I'm afraid
that the availability of exemptions will be *extremely* limited.
My understanding is that the space is large enough that there is no need to
limit the number of students, so there is no need to pre-register. Please
contact me off list if you have questions.
In Service,
Luce Antony Venus
