Unto all who receive this missive, greetings from Lady Patricia of Trakai, a proud resident of the Glorious Barony of Storvik!

We have had quite a party! The attendance for Storvik's traditional Post-Pennsic Dessert Revel was 106, higher than I expected. The spread of desserts was eye-popping, to say the least! Most important, everyone -- both those who went to War and those who had to stay behind in Our Fair Kingdom -- got together and shared stories and played games and had a great time.

Two special and joyous events took place above and beyond the scheduled activities. Meisterin Johanna von Sudeborn took Lady Tirzah MacCruddin as her protege. And the children of Baron Rorik Fredericsson and Lady Janina Krakowska brought a cake and photo albums to celebrate the couple's 30th wedding anniversary.

After a series of amusing stories, Andrew Roriksson and his father won the traditional "No S*** There I Was" contest for their tale of Giants fighting Dwarves on the Pennsic lists. The Best Period Dessert prize was shared by Lady Tirzah and Baroness Catherine. I believe there was also a prize given for "What I Learned at Pennsic"; would the gentle who knows about that please step forward?

Finally, Their Excellencies Sean and Elizabeth, Baron and Baroness of Storvik, held court to present awards and scrolls for awards already received, and the court was followed by dancing.

As a first-time autocrat, I must give much credit to all the people who not only helped with this event but helped me figure out what I was supposed to be doing. (So my organizational skills may indeed be marginally better than a turnip's, but still below those of most other mammals.)

Many thanks to the Baron and Baroness, who made many helpful suggestions along the way and brought all the fixings -- from banners to thrones to directional signs -- that you saw on Saturday. Thanks also go to their retainers for assisting them at the event.

Lady Serena de la Mar served graciously as head Troll for the event -- many thanks! I would also like to thank everyone who sat at the Troll table for a while to help her out (or to hold the baby). Our Exchequer, Ariana of Storvik, set up a great ledger before the event to make Troll run smoothly.

Aularia, assisted by her husband Gaspar, did a superb job of keeping us stocked with lemonade and non-sugary finger foods (and fetched the ice). Master Herveus brought the sekanjabin.

Everyone who brought desserts, both period and non-period, deserves applause! Lady Janina ably served in charge of the A&S events and judging, and Lady Beatrix provided the voice heraldry.

Lord Stefan of Cambion graciously led the dancing after court, and prior to the event he and Lady Ynes Garcia both kept me on my toes by quizzing me on the things I needed to do and offering suggestions for the things I should do. Thanks to both. Thanks also to the musician who performed solo for the dancing -- I think his name is Morley (but please correct me if I'm wrong).

Maeve and Olin did a great job of leading the cleanup crew, which included several people whose names I am not recalling at the moment -- my apologies. I am grateful to Master Evan and Lady Ynes for staying with me till the locking of the church doors so that I wasn't left alone in the woods.

Also, my sincere apologies to anyone who helped in any way with the event whose names I have not recorded or simply forgotten. I am much better at recognizing faces than attaching names to them, especially when I am running around at an event. Please feel free to speak up and be recognized.

Since this was our first SCA event at this site, I received many compliments on the site itself. On behalf of my fellow members of this congregation, thank you. If anyone else is interested in making a bid to use this site for future SCA events, please contact me privately and I will pass along the details.

Again, I send my humble and grateful thanks to everyone who helped with Post-Pennsic Revel in any way, no matter how small.

Yours in service to Atlantia and Storvik,
Lady Patricia of Trakai
