Time to start new traditions, then! If one group starts it, people in another
group might think it's a nice idea, and try it themselves. I know groups that
use "Gate"/"Porter", "Event Steward", and "Feast Steward". "Head Cook" is even
better. Or maybe even "Kitchener", a great period term. Unfortunately, some
potentially appropriate words, such as "Marshal", "Seneschal", and Chatelaine"
have already been appropriated for other uses.

Things *can* change. Luckily, terms such as "farspeaker", "dragon", and "smalls"
(for cryin' out loud, they called 'em children!) have lost popularity in many
areas.
