THL stands for "The Honorable Lord" (or Lady).

It is a Victorian invention, pretty much completely inappropriate for period
use.

Some SCA Kingdoms, particularly in the Midwest and West, use it as a
designation for those holding Grants of Arms, as opposed to Awards of Arms.
In Atlantia, an example would be a Golden Dolphin, as opposed to a simple
AoA receipient.

It is not codified in Society Law, nor Atlantian Kingdom Law, so there is no
formal restriction on it's use here.  It's a habit we should not be
encouraging, but it is strongly used in some quarters.
