Greetings all,

It looks like Mother Nature hath decree'd that Hawkwood shall be
blessed with fine weather for the first anniverary of her birth.  The
wizards in the watch tower have gazed into their (liquid) crystal
tablets (the crystal balls just didn't have the resolution) and are
calling for the sun to be glinting mightily off the polished armor on
Saturday with a high in the lower to mid 70s, low humidity and a light
wind from the NW.  Not to be outdone, Sunday will be more of the same,
perhaps a degree or two warmer.

Ok, I know the Fahrenheit scale wasn't invented until the early 1700s,
so for all you purists, it will be around 17 deg. Rømer, and if you
simply must be early medieval, it will be about as warm as the inside
of a recently deceased cow (not too cold, not too hot).

No shot at rain until at least next tuesday or so.  However, because of
the clear skies and dry air, the overnights will probably be dropping
to a crisp 45-50 degrees F or so (about 10 deg. R), so if you are
camping, bring a few blankets.  And even though the air will be pretty
dry, it may cool enough overnight to give us some dew on the tents in
the AM - so watch for slippery grass on your morning privvy visit.
