[MR] two amazing books on medieval manuscripts

We were at Daedalus Books the other day ... Very Dangerous Place!
 
They have copies of a large-format (11" x 14") full-color facsimile of the  
8th-century Spanish Apocalypse, the so-called Morgan Beatus.  Titled "A  
Spanish Apocalypse: The Morgan Beatus Manuscript" (George Braziller, 1991, ), it  is 
amazing.  Daedalus's price is $69.98 (original price is $175).   They had 
lots of copies left.
 
Another large-format book is "In the Beginning Was the Word: The Power and  
Glory of Illuminated Bibles" (Taschen, 2003, 411 pages).  Again,  amazing.  
Daedalus's price is $29.98 (don't know the original price).   They had 2 left as 
of Sunday morning.
