To haul my family around I need something that will seat 5 adults. If I
want to haul more than 1 day's worth of food at the same time, I need
some cargo area. Although I will admit there are some out there that
drive big SUVs as a status thing, most of us that run aaround in big
trucks do so because we need to haul things. My total cargo + drawbar
weight is probably twice the weight of your car and its maximum tow
weight. Heading out to a camping event, I easily can come near to my GVW.
Then again, I value my children too much to put them in a little car in
a world with semi trucks and busses on the road.
20 gallons doesn't even fill up my main tank, let alone the auxiliaries.
