         It's been my observation (admittedly limited since milady Sarah 
and I attend only a few events per year) that the SCA is far better than 
most mundane groups in this respect.  Granted that the percentage of 
helpers to freeloaders is still woefully low, in most mundane groups with 
which I've worked there's been even less sweat equity.
         In Marinus, it's been made clear that helping to do the chores is 
absolutely expected of anyone good enough to be part of the camp.
