[MR] blue vitriol sample color

I want to create a soap display for University and
Challenge of the Heart but one of the recipes I am
recreating uses blue vitriol.  Since I want to give
samples away I really won't use anything so toxic in
the soap.  

As I understand it blue vitriol creates a pretty dark
blue-green color in dyes.  Does anyone have an online
sample of what the color would really be so I can find
a gentler substitute?

Maybe I should be talking to Earthguild.
