Ysolt,

How did you purchase your last membership?  The membership application
(hard copy) states:

Membership Types: Sustaining: $35.00 - Subscribing membership for those
served by U.S. Postal Service. They receive a subscription to their
Kingdom's newsletter via 3rd class postage.

There is also a line under amounts that show a U.S. First Class Postage
Upgrade for $10.00

does language appear to indicate that one's own newsletter is sent 3rd
class and if one wants it faster, buy it.  

My lord and I certainly would not mind paying the
extra $10 for first class mail, but had this
discussion not arisen and your response indicate
several options, we would not have known.  I guess the
best thing to do would be to ask the webminister of
the SCA membership page to clarify things a bit.
