[MR] Northern Regional Badge Polling

here's an important question. why, exactly, do we need
to register anything? lets make up som simple banners,
designate them north, central, south, and cav. put out
the word that if you are northern region, muster on
the blue triangle (for example) and on down the line.
designate a couple of non fighting persons to carry
the banners out to the king and unfurl them when the
army needs to organize, furl them before the battle,
and leave the field. we aren't talking heraldry, we
are talking about signal flags.

why on earth do we need to get anal retentive about
registering yet another merit badge. lets just do it
informally. let a couple of creative persons make a
few signal flags and then just tell everyone what it
means. we could even tell all the unit commanders that
when we run up the blue ball flag, it is a commanders
meeting, assemble on the king. this can be as
complicated or as simple as we like. i vote for
simple. if our lives actually depended upon
organization and communication, then we could get
complicated, but what we are actually doing is trying
to unscramble the pre-battle muster situation in order
to make it less confusing. i propose that some
enterprising design and donate the following flags. 

   flag               meaning
1. commanders flag    unit commanders assemble here
2. North              northern army muster point
3. central            central army muster point
4. south              southern army muster point
5. cavalry            cav muster point
6. beer               fighting over. go drink beer.
