There are already badges for the central army (COg on blue field), one for the Cav was in development a while ago, and was talk of the South having one but am not sure if it passed or not. Makes it much easier for unit commanders to tell who belongs to what, adds to unit integrity, and gets a little east side story going with the unit colors(North cripes and southern bloods, dadada da, finger snape) We also need gang sighns, hand codes, but we already do beating ins.

  We are polling because there have been numerous requests for the North 
  to develop its own heraldry. In response to the populace request I am 
  championing Lady Maria-Therese to see if there is a significant interest 
  across the North- the first question we ask, is if people want a badge 
  or not. It is not meant to be a divider between us and any other part of 
  Atlantia, but in fact the reverse- as a way to unify the various 
  baronies, households, and the once-in-a-while fighters.
