Many of you may already know about this event, but for
those who do not, it sounds like great fun.   
Montpelier, Orange Co., Virginia - Sat & Sun, Oct. 2-3

ANNUAL FALL FIBER FESTIVAL and SHEEP DOG TRIALS
"Highlights of this early autumn celebration of rural
life in the Virginia Piedmont include weavers and
spinners, sheep shearing, border collie
demonstrations, workshops on natural fibers and the
animals that provide the wool.  There will also be
Scottish dancing, music and bagpipes.  Festival goers
get a discount on tours of Montpelier.   Sat 10-5, Sun
10-4  $5.00 for adults, children under 16 free.   For

For the apple lovers, Carter Mountain Orchard is
nearby (off Route 53, near Ashlawn/Monticello) with
pick-your-own apples, a farm shop selling cider, cider
donuts, hand-dipped ice cream and fresh pies.
