(Please feel free to forward to your local group list)
I would like to remind everyone that the competition to select the next
Royal Baker will be held next weekend at Kingdom Arts and Sciences
Festival. I would really like to see a wide showing of cooks from
across our great Kingdom.
In addition to the information below, I would like to ask that entries
not bear the name of their creator on the actual entry or
documentation. When you sign in, your entries will be given a number
and after judging, we will cross reference which is who's. We will make
every effort to put names out by the entries by the point we open
viewing to the public. (Feel free to contact me privately if you have
questions regarding this.)
All other previous guidelines are the same:
Entrants need to provide one hearty bread and one dessert and
documentation.
Entries should be documentable to our SCA period and cultures of study
(but original redactions are encouraged).
All selections must be accompanied by an ingredients list at the very
MINIMUM. Due to various food allergies, if you do not include an
ingredients list, we are sorry, but we will not wish to judge it.
Special note should be made of any entries incorporating nuts or nut
products (you are welcome to use them, just let us know).
Please plan such that seven people will be able to sample.
Please present your very best efforts, both in the baked goods, and in
your documentation.
Entries should be set up NO LATER THAN NOON!
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact
Signora Sveva Lucciola, or by phone at (919) 471-6104
=====
"If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy.
If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem.
But I arise in the morning torn between the desire to improve the world,
and a desire to enjoy the world.
This makes it hard to plan the day."
