Sorry, I guess I only thought that I hit the forward button.

Dear Fellow Master Gardeners,
I wanted to pass the word about a wonderful two week program I took part in
last summer, the Historic Landscape Institute, co-sponsored by Monticello and
UVA. To quote the brochure:
"The Historic Landscape Institute will offer students an introduction to the
fields of landscape history, garden restoration, and historical horticulture
by using the landscapes designed by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello and the
University of Virginia as case studies and outdoor classrooms."
I can't say enough good things about this program - it was a fantastic
experience. Excellent speakers, hands-on learning in wonderful locations and
gardens, great fun, great people. I was able to work in the orchards at Monticello
with experts, climb trees in full gear with the arborists at UVA, attend
lectures by Jefferson historians and garden experts , go on field trips to Poplar
Forest, Bremo, Montpelior and Colonial Williamsburg, and on an on. The
application deadline is April 5. Here's the website if you want to learn more:
http://www.monticello.org/education/gardeninstitute.html. I'd be more than happy
to talk to anyone about it who is interested, would like to learn more or has
any questions.
Think about it if you want to do something really different this summer!
