the standard answer (and im not trying to jump in front of achbar) is that a
novice is a fighter that is authorized two years or less in the weapons form
they are entering the tourney with.  so if a fighter has been an authorized
fighter fighting weapon and shield for 11 years and them authorized dual
weapon last weekend they would be allowed to fight dual weapon.

but, i think the question was if there is going to be separate lists for
each weapons form.  in other words, a weapon shield list, a dual weapon
list, a pole weapon list and a great weapon list.  very similar to the way
most toys for tots tourneys and all the novice lists ive see have been done.
if that is what domenico is asking then i would defer to achbar for an
answer.  if that is not what he is asking i apologize for any confusion.

I believe what Domenico is asking is if he has been authorized in a weapons

For example I authorized dual weapons last fall, but my first authorization
was close to 2 years ago.  Would I be able to fight in the novice tournament
with dual weapons?

I do not intend to fight in the novice tournament but I believe this is what
Domenico is asking.  Your reply reads as 'No' I think.

   Here is the deal.  If you have been a fighter for less than Two
years..Please come and Participate as a Novice.  The Weapon Form  does not
matter.   Use what ever weapon you are authorized to fight.  Now...  If you
are a more seasoned fighter...there is an Open Tournament as well.  So..In
either case..come on down and Fight.  See
the Castle and have a Great Time.   Be sure to tell your Friends..this is
going to be a GREAT event!
