Found on an SCA Garb list when I finally got around to reading the old(er)
messages... I immediately thought of all you lovely folks from the later
periods who'd just love to create/wear a copy of this incredible artefact:

 " The caption says:
Jagdhut, a hunting hat, East Prussian, 1551-1575, made out of linen
yarn, knotted , Diameter 27cm. With a Stag's head attatched on the
front, which has glass eyes and painted with red oil paints. "

 Ciorstan  went on to mention that it was worked "entirely in square knots"
so it must be something that would appeal to Arachne's Web members, yes?
