Ah. I passed along incorrect information. This book is available from
Oxbow/David Brown, not Barnes and Noble.
It truly is a book to have in your library.

Recently, Lady Fionnghuala the Fair ~ "Nuala" wrote to the Steppes Baronial
list about being able to buy this book from the David Brown/Oxbow book co.
I asked her permission to forward this information, so here it is:

Xene,

This is the info on the book. I had a real difficult time obtaining the
copy as it is no longer in print but is now classified as a "print on
demand" which apparently means that when enough people are frothing at the
mouth for a copy, they print a run. Per my contact, these runs are done in
Great Britain and then shipped to America. It took me about six months to
get this book; however, since it would appear that the printers have
actually done a run of the book, I thought I would let everyone I could know
about it. So, by all means, you may forward this to the Laurel List.
Samantha at David Brown advised that it was OK to post her e-mail address to
the various e-lists. When I sent my initial posting to the local lists, I
did not have her permission to do that which is why I requested people
contact me for her information.
Book Information: Bone, Antler, Ivory & Horn -- The Technology of Skeletal

My contact at David Brown/Oxbow:

The cost of the book was $38.50 including shipping and handling. Not too
bad, IMHO as I could not locate a used/damaged copy for even $150.00. Also,
David Brown is also having a clearance sale right now so you might want to
check their web site for more goodies. I have checked it and, believe me,
they have some cool, cool stuff on sale.

<snip personal  stuff)>
YIS,

Lady Fionnghuala the Fair ~ "Nuala"
