Feast of St. Andrew

As the days grow cooler, Tis' time to venture to the fair lands of The
Canton of Tear Sea's Shore.
We welcome and encourage all to come and join us as we celebrate the
heritage of Saint Andrew - The Patron Saint of Scotland.
The Site: this glorious day of fun will be enjoyed at the Harleyville
Community Center, 20 South Railroad Avenue, Harleyville, SC 29448. The site
opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 11:00 p.m.. This site is wet but
responsible discretion is appreciated. No pets please.
The fighting: Fighting activities will include our traditional Great & Mass
weapons tourney for Heavy Fighters. There will also be tournament activities
for Rapier Fighters as well.
A&S: Again this year we will hold a yuletide theme dessert competition. This
contest is not limited to period recipes and no documentation is required.
The winner will be chosen by the populace.
There will also be an open competition with documentation required and open
display.
The Feast: The end of the day will be marked by a fabulous feast so bring
your appetites.
Please address any dietary concerns to THL Tegan de Moreton at
nitefall3 at earthlink.net no later than one week prior to the event.
The Cost: On Board is $14.00 for adults and $9.00 for children ages 6-12.
Off Board is $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 6-12. Children 5
and under are guests of The Canton.
Adult non-members must add a $3.00 non-member surcharge.
Please make any reservation checks payable to: The Canton of Tear Sea's
Shore, SCA Inc. and send them directly to The Autocrat.
Any newcomers wishing to attend may contact The Autocrat to arrange for
loaner garb for the day.

The Directions: Take your best route to I-26 west of Charleston, South
Carolina. Take exit 177 (route 453) towards Harleyville. Follow this road
approx. 1 mile until it ends at a T-junction. Turn left onto Route 178
towards downtown Harleyville. At the flashing yellow light, turn right. The
site is approximately two blocks ahead on your left. There will be SCA signs
posted.
