I've known quite a few; of course, my mom used to
breed.  We got involved in rescue when Goldens started
to become really popular and we realised that if
breeders were part of the problem, then breeders
needed to be part of the solution.  But that doesn't
make all breeders evil, greedy, or stupid, and
depending on the needs of the particular dog owner,
buying from a *responsible* breeder may be the right
decision.
