If there are teens out there who are brought to events and they are getting
little or nothing out of it then you have to wonder what their parents are
doing. It's probably *not* some kind of service (yes, I'm lumping fighting
etc into this). I know several teens and pre-teens who are very active at
events doing one kind of service or another. They usually start doing
whatever their folks are doing and then broaden their own horizons into
areas that are more specifically of interest to theirselves. I have also
been to events where I have seen those bored teens who lump together and
talk about gameboys and music and mundane stuff. That is a shame as far as
I'm concerned. But I do somthing about it if I can. I either drag out my
marzipan or find some other way of enticing them into helping do something.
