[MR] sewing notions on airplane?

It looks like ANYTHING SHARP is basically a no-go. And they specifically
mention 'metal scissors', 'knifes of any kind/material' (which would cover
the ripper I think), and only mention 'medically necessary
needles/syringes' to be allowed.
So I think, you would be better off with a good book.
