ELIZABETH I, THEN AND NOW
March 21 – August 2

Washington, DC - 2003 marks the 400th anniversary of the end of the
reign of Queen Elizabeth I. In commemoration, the Folger Shakespeare
Library—home to the largest collection of items by and about the Tudor
monarch outside Great Britain—is mounting a major exhibition featuring
manuscripts, books, portraits, and other items from her reign and
beyond. Elizabeth I, Then and Now will be on view from March 21 – August
2, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall of
the Folger Shakespeare Library.
