The KMoM office requires its local MoM's to offer at local events, and
the KMoM itself will sponsor at Kingdom-level events, 2 hours of
Supervised Children's Activities for children ages 4 - 9. These are the
rules of participation at Children's Corner:
Children age four and under should be accompanied by a parent/guardian
or older responsible party at all times. Minors under the age of 14 are
not suitable child-minders for younger children. Parents should arrange
for a responsible adult or older teen to supervise young children. Older
children should be checked on periodically by parents or guardians or
older teens to ensure their safety and suitable behavior. It is
requested that parents make a donation of supplies or contribute
volunteer hours to the Children's Corner. (We remind parents that the
Children's Corner is not a baby-sitting service and is provided as a
courtesy to event participants.) Children must be potty trained and
able to dress themselves (there are not enough volunteers available to
accompany children on bathroom runs). No lunch or snacks will be
provided. Participants must be signed in/out by a parent, guardian, or
other responsible party, and should be picked up no later than 15
minutes after the close of Children's Corner. Children should be
attired in simple garb, have minor waivers on file with the troll and
should be properly identified with the name of their parents on their
person at all times. Please make sure that the Children's Corner
Steward knows how to contact the parents/guardians at all times by
listing where you will be in the sign-in sheets. We ask that children
do not bring personal articles with them while attending Supervised
Children's Activities, as the Children's Corner Steward will not be
responsible for lost, broken or stolen items. Finally, parents will be
responsible for disciplining their children. Unruly behavior will be
cause for returning children to their parents. Our wish list of
preferred donations includes, but is not limited to: complete simple
board games, puzzles, blocks, coloring books, storybooks, jump ropes,
balls, as well as arts & craft supplies like paint, paper, glue,
glitter, beads, clay, and crayons.
