Somebody said something about "the local officers
should have had the forms and dispersed them" and
someone else said "I never got a form". I don't know
how this happened but I remember James of Middle Aston
coming around to our canton business meeting to pass
forms out, explain the point of the changes and then
encourage people to respond.
I was new to the area at the time but I believe he was
doing this in his capacity as baronial herald. So
while this "pumping" of the movement doesn't seem to
have happened in other areas, it did happen and
requests for feedback and help in filling out forms
was well published on this and other lists.
Most of the time I would agree that silence implies
consent but when it comes to changing something
everybody sees like the queen's arms, I'm left
wondering why there's so much talk about it onlist but
so little actual people filling out forms.
It takes just as much effort to write a post to a list
as it does to fill out these forms, so it can't be
laziness. It's always a very curious situation to me.
