As with any other post on this list, Magnus' are open to public
discussion. In my somewhat less than completely humble opinion, Magnus' post
is nothing short of a public attempt at character assassination. I would like
to think that all of the participants in our game strive to avoid such petty
mudslinging. Peers have an obligation to set a higher standard and should be
above such nonsense.
The fact that Logan has pushed himself to reach the level of fighting
ability necessary to be called "Duke" places his words and deeds underneath a
microscope of public scrutiny. I've seen this same kind of thing happen with
other guys who have reached the same level. Anton, Michael, or Logan can do a
thousand wonderful deeds and services and at the end of the day all that gets
talked about is something negative that someone thinks one of them said or
imagines that they did. We love to build up heroes but even more we love to
tear them down.
While I readily admit that Lady Cassandra has a somewhat biased opinion of
Duke Logan, her words were less about taking sides than setting the record
straight on the allegations against The Evil One. If you're going to fling
mud at a man you need to have the facts straight.
