An appeal to all.

Let us not take up sides in this.
Let us not take to our keyboards.
If they wish to hash this out in a public forum, let us not add fuel or
confusion to the fire.

And if you can't leave it alone, try to leave the subject line exactly the
way it is so those who do not wish to participate can set up e-mail catchers
and delete it.
