[MR] a good idea, or grossly out of period

I'd vote for completely out of period waste of time, myself, although I'd like to think I would have found a gentler way to say it.

One of the things I LIKE about Pennsic is the absence of pre-packaged muzak and automated background noise.  When you hear music at Pennsic, it's because some actual, live person is providing it for you.  That's very cool.
