Exactly. You only get arms once. Then, if you get higher levels, you are
getting your arms "promoted". So, someone who got first an AoA, then a
Grant of Arms and then a PAtent, only has arms by PAtent, and not arms by
AWard + grant + patent. He/she keeps the old scrolls of course, and they
are kept on the OP as a matter of historical record, but they only have
arms one way.
Just like a Major in the army isn't also a Captain and a Lietenant, but
just a Major.
