The Feast of St. Fortunatus
  December 14th, 2002
  Barony of Caer Mear  
 
 December the 14th  marks the feast of Saint
Fortunatus, bishop and poet. Likewise on this day,
come celebrate the elevation of the poet, Friar Thomas
Broadpaunch to the august Order of the Laurel as Caer
Mear dons 13th century costumes of red, black, and
gold. 

There will be a full days activities including
childrens activities, a Pas de Arms with counted blows
over a barrier, a rapier tourney, an open A&S display,
as well as an A&S Competition, the theme of which
shall be "The Written Word" (including peotry, C&I,
song lyrics, etc.) At Court, we shall dine on a feast
(limited to 120 gentles) prepared by the renowned
cooks of Caer Mear, and enjoy a Masque with the theme
of Saints and Maryters.

The site is Fluvanna High School, located in Palmyra,
VA. The site opens at 8 am and closes at 11 pm. As
this is a public school, no alcohol, live steel, or
pets are allowed on site. Merchants are gladly
welcomed but space is limited so please contact Master
