Sacred Stone's Twentieth Baronial Birthday: Arabian Nights
August 30 - September 1, 2002
Site: Full of mischief, valor, and romance, The Arabian Nights has enthralled
readers with the tales that saved the life of Scheherazade, whose husband, the
king, executed each of his wives after a single night of marriage. Join us in
recreating the splendor of those stories, and experience the enchantment at
Camp York, King's Mountain State Park, 1277 Park Rd, Blacksburg, SC, 29702.
The park is a lovely wooded area and has cabins with beds and/or floor space
(no guarantees for a bed for all). There are hot shower bath houses and
swimming at your own risk (no lifeguard). Site opens at 5 PM Friday, August 30
and closes at 11 AM on Sunday, September 1. Pets are welcome, but must be kept
on leashes at all times. Site is dry. Per park rules, vehicles are not to be
driven on non-paved roads. Violators will be removed from site. Middle
Eastern garb is encouraged, but not necessary. A more detailed description of
fighting and other activities (all with a Middle Eastern flair) will be posted
to the baronial web site at: http://members.aol.com/sacrdstone/
Fighting: Tournaments for Baronial Champions will be held in Rapier, Heavy, and
Archery. After the tournaments, there will be more fighting in all areas. All
will have scenarios designed for the pleasure of participants and spectators.

addition, each person vying for a baronial champion position in a fighting area
