I have just received an email from thyra olafsdottir where she asks
me if "I wish to flame her also". I am choosing to respond publicly
because I have no need to hide behind flames or rudeness.
I wonder what the term flame means? Does it mean that she got a
whole lot of email disagreeing with her? Or does it mean she got a
whole lot of rude hateful email disagreeing with her?
Her words provoked in me an almost primal urge to let her have it.
So I can understand the likely heated emails she may have
received.
I believe strongly in the divine right of Kings and Queens (at least
for six months) To me her words sounded like treason and
probably sounds the same to a number of peoples ears. She
probably doesn't understand that because she isn't thinking as a
citizen of a Kingdom, she's thinking with her modern sensibilities.
But I would be hard pressed to tell her about the courtesy and
honor we should show our monarchs and each other if I attacked
her. Everyone who chooses to respond to this issue should
remember that.
I have not enjoyed the reign of every Monarch our Kingdom has
had. In fact I have vehemently disagreed with a number of things
that our Monarch's have done. But I am not rude, thoughtless or
belittling to our Royalty, even when I disagree with them. In my
opinion, Thyra's comments were not well spoken.
Thyra- you have every right to disagree with Her Highness privately
and to counsel Her Highness as to your opinion as a citizen of this
Kingdom. You do not have the right to insult the Princess or to
imply that she does not represent this Kingdom with dignity and
honor. You say you are a nobody in the ranks of alphabet soup.
Have you ever wondered why?
