[MR] Encouraging Period Practice

In the past few days, we've done much handwringing over the display of
non-period items at events. I have read many excellent suggestions, from
offering garb to newcomers to methods for disguising less authentic items.
But may I be so bold as to offer one more?

Would it be feasible for Her Majesty, Her Highness, or Their respective
Ladies-in-Waiting to present tokens to those gentles at events making an
extraordinary effort to maintain their persons and possessions in a
medieval style? The token need not be elaborate. A bead, ribbon, or note
presented with a smile and thanks on behalf of the Lady from which it came
would be no small honor.

Thank you, my dear friends, for your kind attention.

Mistress Elisabeth MacAlester
