Some things just "have" to be spread out as much as possible.

Milords and Ladies all, 
 For the last 3 years on this list, I have read that everyone on 
this list wants to 
A) help save horses from slaughter... 
B) own a bigger horse.... 
C) get a shire of my own. 
 Well through the grace of God and a lady from Texas, we will be 
getting a chance to rescue a "herd" of Shires out of Illinois. There 
are 20(not a mistype...TWENTY)of these horses that are headed 
directly to Alpo unless someone steps in and stops it. These Shires 
are all young and sound and just don't happen to have what it takes 
to be a World Champion...(Damn the luck.) A breeding farm in Illinois 
is just getting rid of them for pennies on the dollar of what a pure 
bred Shire would cost. 
Soooooo.....while Deb and I might be able to help some of them, we 
can't get them all without your help. Grab your wallet and say"I 
believe" ...we will know the cost of them shortly and have them 
posted on the list and our website but now is the time to really 
help. 
Even if you can't keep a Shire, we can work around that at our place 
and at other foster homes we have throughout the country. A group can 
get together and for small donations, save one ofthese magnificent 
horses ! 
PLEASE HELP...As those of you who know me personally, I ADORE large 
horses like Shires and Belgians and have found that with love, they 
are the most gentle of giants. Let me or Deb know if you or your 
Shire/Household/Clan/Barony/Canton/Principality/Kingdom would be 
intrested in owning or sposoring one of these horses.
