The pennons in Master Terafan's encampment are a very easy and spiff way to do
heraldic display in an encampment and bring that wonderful mediaeval quality to
it. A pennon is normally 9 feet and under and can be as little as 3" long...
single tailed, double tailed, even triple are easily documented. If you choose
to put heraldry on any of them, you should use the badge of the barony, canton,
kingdom for instance, the unicornate seahorse for the Atlantian badge, or is
you're in say Windmaster's Hill the Kittyhawk is the badge... perfectly
acceptable for anyone to use, though, it is normal that you'd have an
association with the group like living there now, or having lived there... or
the badge of a household. You shouldn't use an individual's badge unless its
yours.
