[MR] Shameless Plug for the Free Scholar Charity Tourney to raise money

On February Ninth at the Tourney of Ymir in
Windmaster's Hill, the Free Scholars of Atlantia will
host their annual charity tournament.  At the event
they will be hosting an invitation only tournament in
which all combatants are to be auctioned off to raise
money for the Make-A-Wish
Foundation.   You’ll have a chance to bid on every
fighter in the tourney!  If your Scholar wins then you
win the tourney prize!!!  What is this all too
wonderful prize you ask?  Why it’s a hand made wooden
chest suitable for carrying stuff, sitting upon, or
just plain decorating your pavilion.  The chest itself
makes a REALLY nice prize but the free Scholars are a
generous lot and they decided it would be an even
better prize if they filled it full of SCA goodies. 
Some goodies promised to date are 3 yard of black
wool, other material, and a stone tablet carved in
dedication to the giant Ymir and lots of other fun
stuff.

As if the prize wasn’t enough being Scholars we know
that just watching a tourney can be well sometimes
dull, and well they know that you want to do your part
to help your sponsored fighters along in the tourney. 
So for every Scholars you buy you’ll get a bean bag
dagger that you may use at anytime during a fight to
kill off an all TOO worthy opponent. (One use per bag
please) 

How do I bid??? How do I bid??? The auction will be
done in two parts.  The first part will be a silent
auction to be held through out the day at the event. 
A table at troll will be set up and you will have an
opportunity to bid on the scholar of your choice.  The
second part of that auction will be held at feast. 
The bidding at feast will begin at the highest amount
bid in the silent auction for each individual fighter.
Should the highest bid of the silent portion of the
auction be so high that there is no more bidding on
the fighter at feast then that fighter will go to the
highest bidder of the silent portion of the auction. 
However, should bidding on the fighter continue then
that fighter will go to the highest bidder of the open
portion of the auction.  The bidder winning an
individual fighter will be that fighter's sponsor into
the tourney. Scholars who fail to produce a bid will
be beaten. 

The Free Scholars would like to invite the entire
populace to come out and bid on the combatants.
