I agree that no one should pay more than their fair share. Personally, I
prefer to sleep in my pavilion because it adds to the ambiance of the event
and therefore increases my enjoyment. I also like having my own private
space.
Regarding price, you have to consider the services involved. With most of
the site contracts that I have read, the site fee is based on the number of
people staying on site, rather than the number of cabins used. Whether you
are in a tent or a house, you're still using the facilities of the site, such
as toilets and showers. That's the real expense in maintaining a site and it
is one which the owners are most interested in being compensated for.
