i believe that varies with different members of the general
populace. What I would like to know is why we seem to have put Rapier and
Heavy into two completely separate boxes?Rapier essentially evolved from
single heavy combat. They are two sides of the same coin. They both
exist pre-1600. Why can't we all just respect each other for what we do?
In an earlier posting, a heavy fighter experssed a desire to hear the
lamentations of the women. Here's one "Can't we all just get along?"

Agreed. It would take a major paradigm shift (apologize for the
use of the words, mundanely I just went to a two-day seminar on affecting
change) for the general populaece to feel comfortable with a King chosen
by rapier. However a step in the right direction would be for heavy
fighters and rapier fighters to respect each other as equals with slightly
different primary interests.

Another lamentation: "Woe is me - I have to go back to work now"
