If I may, I'd like to place a personal note to this.
The warrior within is hardly chivalrous. The warrior within is bloodthirsty, vile, foolish and barbarous in extreme. Chivalry, in it's inception, intent, and in it's legend is a method by which the warrior heart is tamed and tempered. It is not the weapon one wields. It is not skill with which one fights. It is not victory nor defeat. It is not the tactics of the day nor the strategy of the campaign. While the warrior heart sings, it is by that code the combatant lives that the tune is decided. And in that code, where a would be hero's glory and greatness is fixed. There is little respectable in a warrior heart alone.
Vels
Heroes are not to live near as long as their fame.
