of the SCA by right of Arms that should control the BoD to be chosen in a
tourney that only Dukes can fight in! He told me that himself..

It may seem that the BoD acted on gossip, but that is the propaganda you are

being fed. Many of the allegations were made by people who have never even 
heard of this household. We do have a cultural bent in SCA to believe people

we like as we assume people are chivalrous in our group.

Aveloc is a charismatic individual and he is usually rather interesting to 
watch. He has a great sense of drama. I also watched him do something 
(firing of the cannon) foolish, dangerous, rude (it was late), irresponsible

and bad for our reputation. His explanation for it on his website indicates 
to me that he doesn't see how his actions may have impacted others. He 
didn't just blow off the authorities, he blew off the concerns of a few 
hundred people he scared and woke up. I must mis-quote a certain bard here 
"But the man doth protest too much."

My problem with this is that it is getting to be a "BoD against SCA 
membership" idea. It has been something he has been pushing for quite some 
time. Cutting off the head of a snake? Worried about a big BoD conspiracy? 
An evil empire in the making? Please. This reminds me more of someone 
stomping their feet and tattling. Are you also aware that several people are

signing a petition supporting his banishment? This is not something the BoD 
'just' decided to do. This has been over a period of about 4-5 years. They 
got complaints. They got serious enough complaints they were forced to stop 
doing their real job to deal with this sort of problem. Wasn't the last 
person who was banished convicted of murder?

I would like to share a quote about conspiracies I have been saving; "The 
horse is dead, beaten, burned, chopped, sliced, diced and buried. So just 
drop it. Had this been a real conspiracy you would have never heard anything

about it. The secret illuminati that control everything would have dealt 
with it quietly behind closed doors at one of those parties you never get 
invited to."

Yep, if you are going to start a silly rumor about the BoD, then start with 
something grandiose like making them the secret illuminati. Them, and 
Colonel Saunders until he kicked it.
