Additional information on the following:

>If a child is coming to an event with an adult that is not the
>parent/guardian, the child MUST have a standard SCA youth waiver signed
by
>the parent. That is it. They are not required to have a notarized
document
>or any other such paperwork. While this may be coming soon, as of yet,
it
>is not in law or policy.

This applies to all minors under the age of 18 who do not have a blue
membership card or other proof of signed waiver on file at Corporate
Headquarters. If the person attending the event is 18 or older, and
cannot show a blue membership card or other valid waiver proof, he or
she may sign the standard adult waiver at the event site.

To obtain a copy of the standard minor waiver, visit the website at
http://mol.atlantia.sca.org/forms.html, and download the form entitled
"General Minor Waiver Form." If you do not have access to the internet,
contact your local seneschal, and he or she can likely provide you with
a copy. If all else fails, you may also call or e-mail the Kingdom
Waiver Secretary (that's me) at 703-517-5428 or
waivers at atlantia.sca.org, and I can get a copy to you.

Minors participating in SCA combat at events (heavy, rapier, and
equestrian activities) have additional waiver requirements, in addition
to the above. Your local marshal or minister-of-the-list can provide
you with more information on this topic, or you can visit the website at
http://mol.atlantia.sca.org/forms.html and download the form entitled,
"Minor Authorization Procedures" for more information.

If you have specific questions about waiver requirements for minors not
answered by the above, please feel free to contact me directly, at
703-517-5428 or waivers at atlantia.sca.org.

Ilse von Brenner
Kingdom Waiver Secretary
