Household affiliation (and even family affiliation) is immaterial to the
surcharge. Any person old enough to pay the adult rate will have to show a
membership card at the troll table or pay the surcharge.

"How the NMS applies:
(1) The NMS will apply to events which meet the requirements defined in
Corpora section II.C., "...Society events for which a full announcement
including date, time, and place has been published in advance in the
appropriate corporate publication;" and for which a fee or required donation
to attend the event is charged.
(2) The NMS will not be collected if there is no fee or reqired donation to
attend the event.
(3) The NMS will not be collected for minors for whom there is a discounted
event fee. "

You can, however, if proof of membership is not shown at the time that
you/they are checking into the event, the surcharge will be added to the
cost and will have to be paid then. (think Pennsic)

The populous of Marinus recently held a "fund raising night" to establish
(outside of our official structure) a guest fund for those who are attending
their first event. The surcharge will be taken out of that fund and if it
appears to be working well, another fundraiser will be held when those
monies are exhausted. This is only for folks who have never attended an
event before.

You're welcome, and I kept the double addressing so folks from both lists
will have the same info.
